These contractor grade heavy duty nails are used by professional artificial turf installers nationwide to hold down turf in both commercial and residential applications.  These Grip Rite steel nails are 6 in long, heavy duty, and not twisted.  Because they are not galvanized some corrosion will occur which helps bond the nail to the substrate for an extremely solid hold.  This prevents the nail from raising up and the turf from moving.  

It's recommended to nail down the turf every 6 to 8 inches, using approximately 20 to 30 nails per sq yd.
