Woven from jute, our jute mesh is a flexible, durable, high quality erosion control fabric.  Jute mesh is great for mitigating erosion of surfaces like topsoil, especially in rainy and windy environments or on sloped surfaces.  It's also great for assisting to regenerate vegetation or establish grass in areas such as sandy slopes.  It's loose weave and large holes allow for plenty of sun and water penetration, promoting excellent germination and plant growth.  The fibers are course and retain moisture which assists seeds and soil stirred up by the wind to be contained.  It's loose, flexible weave make it easy to apply and separate for plant insertion.  Jute mesh 

  • can be used on top of mulch or directly on soil or sand
  • is economical for large scale applications such as revegetation, sand dunes, swales, coastal, mines, steep areas, etc
  • is biodegradable

Jute Erosion Control Mesh is woven from spun jute yarns. The coarse weave mat contains about 65% open area. The completely biodegradable blanket works in environmentally sensitive erosion control applications and helps keep soil in place until plant material roots and takes hold. It has a functional life of 6 to 9 months.
