Groundfabrics Grass Porous Paving is a unique porous paving solution which allows you to drive, park or walk on a 100% grass cover surface. Performing the function of traditional asphalt or concrete pavement, Groundfabrics Grass Porous Paving provides extremely high load bearing strength whilst protecting the root zone from compaction.
Its unique interlocking ring and grid structure is available in 1m x 1m panels that are linked together to form a 20m x 1m roll size which is easy to install and follows the contours of the subsoil. Installed on a prepared sandy gravel sub base, adjacent rolls are simply clipped together and filled with sharp sand. Turf (13mm sod) is laid over the rings or alternatively seed may be employed to provide 100% grass cover.

Groundfabrics Grass Porous Paving Installation:
Depending on the application a base course of sandy gravel should be prepared subject to soil and loading conditions. Offered as a general guide the base course should consist of a Type 3 MOT material (i.e. 20mm down to 5mm stone mixed at a ratio of 80/20 with sharp sand) to the following suggested depths:Pathways - 0 to 100mm deepCars & light vans - 100mm to 200mm deepHGV - 200mm to 300mm deep
Roll out Groundfabrics Grass Porous Paving and connect adjacent rolls using the snap-fit connectors. Fill porous paving with sharp sand and compact level with the top of the rings. Using a hose pipe ensure that water flows through the product into the sub-base.
Lay 13mm thick sandy sod over the the rings and roll to eliminate air pockets, alternatively seed with a dusting of top soil may be employed. Water and leave for a minimum two mowing cycles for the root zone to become established.
