Gravelpave provides heavy load bearing support to create a porous pavement surface for unlimited traffic, parking and pedestrian use. Its interlocking ring and grid construction provides containment for the angular gravel covering. Manufactured in 1m x 1m panels that are linked together to form a roll size 20m x 1m, Gravelpave is simply rolled out, clipped together and held in place with galvanised pins provided, following the prepared contours of the surface beneath.

Installation Procedure
Base Course PreparationExamine soil conditions for porosity; for example impermeable clay soils may require installation of french drains to tap underlying porous layers. Check for improperly compacted trenches, debris and the existence of subsurface drainage prior to the installation of porous paving.Place base course material over prepared sub-base, leaving 25mm for Groundfabrics Gravelpave and fill for final grade. Offered as a general guide the base course should consist of a Type 3 MOT material (i.e. 20mm down to 5mm stone mixed at a ratio of 80/20 with sharp sand) to the following suggested depths:Pathways - 0 to 100mm deepCars & light vans - 100mm to 200mm deepHGV - 200mm to 300mm deep

Install Groundfabrics Gravelpave with rings facing up, and using the integral snap fit fasteners provided maintain proper spacing and interlock the units. Pruning shears or a sharp knife may be employed to shape the rolls around any obstacles. Rolls should be fixed in place using pins provided at a rate of six per square metre.Fill rings with maximum 10mm angular gravel by "backdumping" directly from a dump truck or tractor bucket. Spread gravel across the grid to fill the rings and compact using a roller or wacker plate. Spray with water; the area can be used immediately.

A choice of crushed stone or sharp angular gravel can be employed to provide an attractive surface dressing.
5mm (3/16") minus crushed stone or 9mm (3/8") gravel should be used to allow for the compaction process

Gravelpave Advantages:
● Unique roll size of 20m x 1m allows for quick installation (between 200 - 300m2 per hour based on two men).
● Gravelpave is cost effective; at only 25mm deep less gravel is required to fill the rings compared to similar products.
● Easily cut on site using pruning shears. Adjacent rolls simply clip together.
● Gravelpave is supplied with an integral filter fabric pre-bonded to the underside of the rings.
● Flexible grid system ensures Gravelpave follows the contours of the terrain and is not affected by the freeze/thaw cycle.
